1999 25 Seacraft

Purchased a 1999 25 ft Seacraft for my son. Now the project starts. The boat is in good condition with good running 4 stroke yamahas but needs a lot of TLC from maintenance neglect on the boats systems over the last quite of few years as well as a lot of what the hell was BPS thinking when they did this. I plan to post pics of the progress and some fishing pics from the boat to get feed back from the Seacraft community. Looking forward to becoming part of the community.

Replacing the scupper drain hoses, it was rigged with wire reinforced black rubber hoses with hose clamped to NPT threads (not hose barb connections) on each end. Now I have to replace the cockpit scupper thru hulls with a 2" thru hull connections with 2" hose barb connections and add hose barb connections to the transom scupper valves. BSP what were you thinking, relying on a hose clamp to make a hose over a thread connection water tight.

Added/modified a house electrical system to the boat, it was built with 2 parallel batteries per side. I added a (2) circuits for deep dropping with LP reels and need a house to drive that system without draining the engine batteries.

Fish box drained in the bilge, I added a fish box drain pump and removed the 5 gallon fresh water system to make room for a future 36V battery for a ipilot troll motor in the future.

Blackfin - the layup of the hull looks good, I am fighting flaking gelcoat on the inside of hull/bilge area/under the gunwales. The quality issues I see is the outfitting, sometimes I scratch my head and and say what were they thinking.

Uncle - exterior pics to follow
