23' CC inboard with Transom Door

3 Attachment(s)
Well I am about as close as ever to finally purchasing my first SC. It is a 1973 23 CC inboard and it has a door in the transom. Was the door ever a factory option? I am thinking it was most likely a custom alteration but would like to confirm.

The boat is certainly not "turn key" and would need quite a bit of love but I might just have enough in me to do it justice.

If you have anything to offer in terms of observations or knowledge of this boat than please reply here or send PM.

Thanks!
David

I would like to have a transom door. I think it's a great addition.

I too like the transom door and hope it did not compromise the hull in anyway. The thought of having to use it for a large Tuna is an appealing fantasy.
