23 sCCeptre
Next on the chopping block...
The actual hull shell is in really nice shape minus the transom skin. As you can see there was some stringer issues... Will get a new grid with as little wasted space as we can, a bracket, a CC, and a curvy one-off cap. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...e2c6e28a_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...995f6977_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr 1978 hull, nice n thick, liner as u see it weighed 300# alone. The hull is laid up nicely, stringers not so much... https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...086ce4b2_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...6eeb013b_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...37e121db_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr They come apart so quickly! https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/...788f2616_c.jpgUntitled by dirtwheelsfl, on Flickr |

Pumped to see you work magic on a 23. What's your idea for the cap/shear?

wow, you weren't kidding about the delam on those stringers. At least you save time chipping putty off them?
|
I'm digging your play on the boat names, sternrider, sCCeptre...
|
Are you building the cap yourself? I'm also converting a sceptre to cc and going to need a cap as well. Looking good!

Have not seen stringers come apart like that before that I can remember..
