forward vents

Are most of the forward vents facing forward or aft. It seem that although forward would collect air it would also pick up water.

Forward. I run them that way for more air. Never accumulated any measurable amount of sea water.

Face Forward, no water, no worries

Thanks guys.

Make sure you have the aluminum frames installed that go around the vent. They protect the vent from getting smashed on the dock but also deflect the water that would otherwise enter the vent.

Hey surfnski, can you send me a picture of the frames that you are referring to. I've never seen any.

These low profile vents coupled with PVC board frame, worked perfect for me. They were snug behind the rubrail. No bang, No break, no water!

I like those a lot.

Sweet! My boat's in the paint shop and I want to doll her up a bit.

I had the original ones on my boat powder coated. Came out great.
