Back in the saddle

With my severe OCD, can't help myself coming back from my slip & fall...
Back on my 1974 Seafari project. Yep you guessed it, going overboard on the freshin' up process. Getting all the rewiring done on the 4.3 Mercruiser. Replacing every damn thing there is to replace, whether it needs it or not. Decided to pull the heads and get them to a machine shop for a going over. Manifolds & risers (this one really hurt) carb, (ouch on this one) starter, alternator, the list goes on and on.. UPS, USPS & FedUp here every day. Patti getting suspicious... Told her 401K and savings are un-touched ! Been bartering with a friend that has a marine shop, bullets for parts. Thank God I reload. ;) Thinking I will live long enough to finish this.... Where does it end ? Attachment 23713 Attachment 23714 Attachment 23715 |
Don't forget the oil pan coating.

looks like fun to me, projects like this keep us young at heart and mind.

Seafari
Ken,
I had just intended on using the Seafari as it was and replacing the I/O with a bracket if the motor or drive ever gave out. Glad to see you back up and around and enjoying one of your passions. Barry |

Oh my......
Both Chuck's ... No racist here ! I believe in equal balance through out.. Yeah, keep dreaming. The only way you will ever get me to abandon my shop, is burn me out ! |
Lol I have walkie talkies so I can communicate with the wife. Once in a while she walks out to make sure I'm still alive. :)
