HIN for an early 20MA

I have a HIN question. I have a 1975 20 foot Master Angler.

It has the liner, cap, enormous console with seat molded to the door.

1975 was the first year. I was considering selling it. A potential buyer was concerned because the HIN started with SECF, not SECM. I never thought about it before. As this is the first year, and maybe even the first 20MA made, I wonder if the guys at the factory just used a sport fisherman "F" instead of an "M" for the first few or even year?

If someone converted a 20 SF to a 20MA, I can't imagine why, and if they did, kudos to making it look like it's 46 years old and original.

I am thinking I am going to keep it and repower, re-transom and re-console it.

Thoughts?

Just ruined my first guess. This is where I wish we could get access to factory data records and build sheets etc. I bet they’re in a box in CM’s garage…
