Has anyone glassed a front seat to the console front door on a 23'?
I refurbing/restoring a 23' center console. The boat is almost done and ready for the season but i'm thinking of glassing up a front seat to the front door of my center console. Has anyone done it yet? Since the door opens and swivels out, I figure i'm going to have to put some metal brackets on the inside of the console and inside the door that will rest on each other so the passenger sitting on the seat don't completely collapse the door hinges. Any other ideas would be great! Thanks in advance. Erik |

Thats a lot of work building it & weight strain on the hinges. I dont invision you opening & closing that door very often while out to sea anyway. I'd use a nice cooler with a non-skid pad underneath.

Just a thought will the storage hatch in front of the center console open if there’s a seat there?

What do you guys use that in deck storage area for anyway? I honestly thought it was a fish hold, a sizeable one too until I realized it drained into the bilge. |
Take a look at the side view of the 23’ 0/B and I/O in the specifications section -think you can see where my concern is. As for the storage compartment Iuse mine as a fish box— good rinse with soap and water followed up with w bit of bleach soap and water and haven’t had any issues
