Transom

https://www.thehulltruth.com/boats-s...r-console.html DOES THIS LOOK LIKE A FACTORY TRANSOM SET UP FOR A 74 CENTER CONSOLE. SINCE I POSTED HIS ADD WHAT DO YALL THINK GOOD AND BAD?

No, looks like they added a top to the splash well and made a bench seat on a o/b boat and closed the transom in. It doesn’t look like an i/o transom.

Would that stop you from making a offer on it?

Not one bit for myself, I like bracketed boats that are thought out well & if the work is good the work is good. Typically buying it with the work already done is cheaper than paying to have the work done. Pay the $$$ for a survey if ya like what ya see.

I have a 73 cc that was an I/O. That transom looks just like mine with the arch to it.most guys don’t do the arch if it was an o/b as it’s a lot easier to make it flat across the back than doing all the extra work getting the curve right. The bilge hatch width is about right for the I/O as well. I like what we can see of the work they did with the transom seat as well took a lot more effort to put in the toe recess at the bottom of it along with recessing it into the transom cap for added room

X2 on it probably being from an I/O and appearing to be a well thought out concept.

Thanks looks like it had alot of work that appears to have been done well. What do you think? Thanks for sharing. Gives a better insite to the boat.
