1978 SF 23 outboard?

Hi All- I have a 77 inboard 23SF and to my knowledge back they they were not making outboards. However a guy is selling a '78 with a transom mounted outboard saying it is not a modification. Did they make an outboard in '78?

Yessir. They made 85 of them that year.
