I am using for now an aluminum prop, but I will do as you mentioned. I will contact a prop shop for some loaners.

I have a E-tec 2006 model 200hp. Without been WOT I reached 5500rpm, but the boat not doing close to 50mph like my old Mercury.

I have owned my 1988 since new. The rear deck that sorrounds the live well is easily removed for better access.
Take a knife and remove the seal around the deck lid. Once you remove the deck...
