Re: first fishing trip of the year

I hate to rain on the hating but Kmodi is in fact a very talented angler that has caught and released trophy fish all over the word. It's too bad too because it's much more fun to belittle people...

Re: Finally Started on 23 Inboard

Moving the console forward! Modi and I have looked into that a bit. An extra foot at the stern would be awesome. I'm very interested to see this. Any ball park numbers for the yanmar? cruise,...

Sick!
If you get a chance, give some more details. What are your plans for power?

Re: 1976 23 Inboard

KModi gets pissed when I call it a water car but it's hard not to.

Re: 1976 23 Inboard

The motor is getting freshened next month. Plans call for a litle bigger hydroller cam and some light bowl and guide boss porting. Also put enough valve spring in it to survive the rare out of...

Re: Wanted for Rebuild 23' CC Inboard

Riprunner brought up the points that I'm willing to gloss over but he's entirely right. The biggest draw back is NO low speed manuverability. You can walk the boat sideways with a lot of throttle...

Re: Wanted for Rebuild 23' CC Inboard

I have the pleasure to fish KModi's regularly. Spectacular boat. Super stable, tons of fishing room, good acces to the drive line, very simple and inexpensive to work on (sbc 350). All and all a...

Re: Inboard running cold

What does it run at? We had Kmodi's boat out this weeekend and it ran at 160. I guess that's the operating temp for a right hand motor? Either way, its a beautiful boat that goes like hell and is...

Re: Inboard running cold

Chance,
The theromstat should be installed crown (pyramid) up with the flat button side down. If the motor is actually running cold (bellow 180) you're going to GREATLY acelarate the wear on your...

Re: MARINE INBOARD VS. REGULAR SMALL BLOCK

Thanks for the info. The goal is for this boat to cruise between 25-30 and be as fuel effient as possible while sticking with a carb. I figured that the low rpm torque of a 383 would be a good fit....

Re: MARINE INBOARD VS. REGULAR SMALL BLOCK

Thanks for the replies. It's a little dangerous to toss around terms like "hot rod engine". I'm talking about a mild 383 with a standard ring pack, little hydro-roller cam and a pair of vortex...

Re: MARINE INBOARD VS. REGULAR SMALL BLOCK

I hang with kmodi.

We're thinking about building a 375hp 383 stroker for his 23cc. If any one has any experience with hot small blocks in these boats, feel free to chime in. I know of a Silver...
