Scott, Have to agree about the ride,with that much deadrise that hull has to slice pretty good.

Yea I thought about a hydraulic jack and might just go that route,raising the transom height to only 30-35" for cowling clearance.Just curious to know if anyone had seen an 18' with an enclosed...

For what it's worth,the motor will turn over and the outdrive seems to be going in and out of forward and reverse gear.
