Re: 27 project
NB,
Since you have the digital camera out, are quite proficient with it, and in close proximity, could I trouble you for a couple of photos of "Red" and perhaps some details on the boat? I would...

Re: 1988 3.0 Mercruiser 140 hp questions
I like BruceB's idea about stripping the Bayliner for the powertrain. If I had thought of that before I repowered 2 years ago, I probably would have gone that route. I put the inline 4 (2007 TKO...

Re: CSICKNICK's Seafari Hardtop pics
wow! I really like that! Thanks !! how is the overhead clearance? to stand and run it? I'm short (5'10") so a little low on the clearance is not a problem. How does all the overhead affect the center...

Re: Value of a repair
not sure that i want to be burried in mine, but from the stand point of what a comparable, brand new 20' CC is going to cost you, 10-12K seems reasonable. That is about what I have got in mine...

Re: A Long Way in a Small Truck
Big,
Glad you made it safe and sound all the way here. When you get settled and squared away, we will have to catch up and do some fishing. They are starting to nibble down my way.

I concur with Big's comment. I have been wanting to ask your same question for some time now, but just have not gotten around to it. i was thinking about making a modular set up for my 76...

Re: Minimum Planing Speed
One of those fins does require drilling 4 holes in the cavitation plate. I was a little skeptical at first, but a friend of mine put one on his 23, and I was extremely impressed with the difference...

Re: Minimum Planing Speed
RED,
I had a similar problem. To maintain a lower planing speed, I put one of those 'dolfins' on my outdrive. you have to be careful around the dock as if you contact something with it, you...

HAHAHHAHa if that boat sitting in Bass River is yours, that is the one I looked at! Really clean, and looked in great shape. That is a nice ride. The water line was painted a little...

How much fuel do you carry in your 20? That is a pretty good poke to be able to leave Sandwich (I assume the basin) fish the SWC of Stellwaggen, run around the corner and then pound your...

Re: Propeller options
PHNX,
The boat currently has a 13.75 x 21. Too much wheel. Need to drop down to get RPM's up. I'm going to have to go with the assumption that the gear is stock on the 1984 apha 1 drive. Agree, the...
