I love the boat except. Lack of on deck storage...

I love the boat except.
Lack of on deck storage for tackle.
Lack of seating options.
I thought about buying a leaning post that has storage and seating and installing it behind the helm seats....

Is there one and if not should it have one? It seems there is always rainwater in my forward bildge area and only comes out when planing off or little bit come out while pulling away from a stop sign...

I cant imagine that a flaw that small would make any difference in performance. Can it?
Its hard to tell from the image but it looks like 3/32" to nothing cupped section in a 20" span,.
