Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Dave,

If you could give me a little more information on the type of pump installed on the deck livewell drain it would be helpful. Is it mounted directly to the drain hole of the livewell or is it...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Dave,

Good idea on the warning lights. I guess it still won't tell you if the pump isn't working. That's my biggest concern. The back up pump would certainly help if the other pump failed. I am...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Dog,

You may be right. There is some type of black plastic mounts under the through hole nuts. The mounts are approximately 4 inches in diameter with little nubs that stick up around the...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

That's hilareous! I'm affraid my head is going to swell up like a balloon while in that position for so long. By the way I was told to add a second bilge pump. Do you have one?

I have my boat in...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

I too have been working in that hell hole. Angle drill and bloody knuckles. How many times did you get your head stuck? I'm assuming the macerator is installed outside your livewell and in the bilge?...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

That's exactly why the previous owner sealed in the livewell. There are no connections to any of the holes now. I intend on connecting the system back together. On the console control panel there is...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Dave,

I'm not sure that my previous reply went through. The bow bilge access was the first thing I checked. It's dry. Not sure what configuration would have been installed in those through hull...

Re: 1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Thanks, I have all of those fittings that you were refering too as well. I am familiar with how they work. There are two additional through hull(through the bottom of the boat)1 1/2 inch fittings...

1998 23 SeaCraft Deck Livewell.

Just purchased a 1998 23 Seacraft. The previous owner had sealed up the deck livewell. When I opened up the lid, there are two through hull fittings with rubber plugs. It seems as though there was...
