You should be able to fit the small side of the square between the Motor mounts , if not yank the motor , you’ll be happy you did , I see a lot of guys on the water and their brackets look ridiculous...

Do your self a favor and spend the $10 and buy one ,cause if you go by someone’s word and it turns out to be off then you’ll be kicking your self in the $ss when the bracket dosent sit properly....
