Re: Opinions on 25 CC performance and ride??

The current specs on a new SC 25 list the Max HP at 400, which does not seem like a lot when you look at the size of the boat...

Yes, the boat is at Parkers, and looks very nice. Very clean and solid, well equipped, new red Imron paint job.

Re: Petit Vivid White Bottom Paint

I put the vivid white on my 20 a few years ago. it does stay white, but my boat does not live in the water for the entire season, only for days or weeks at a time.

I have owned 3 different 20 SF's and this is the best option I could come up with. Riased the floor 2.5" on this 1972 hull and have it drain...

Re: 21 vs. 23 Opinions

Great feedback, all. I have enough info to at least go for a ride in the 21 and see what I think. If the ride is similar to the 23 (and I think it is based on what I read here) then it may be the...

Re: 1708 on deck

As long as your fit is good, go ahead and glass the top of the deck ahead of time, and cover the plywood edges while you are at it. It is a big area to get glass down on , so having it out of the...

Re: 21 vs. 23 Opinions

Thanks for the opinions, Mark. In looking at a 21 on the trailer, my gut feeling was that it was closer to the 23 than the 20. The 21 does look like a nice boat, and I am finding that the 20 is...

21 vs. 23 Opinions

Hi all,
Wondering if anyone has any time in both a 21 and the 23' SF? I have spent a lot of time in the 20 and 23, but I am considering moving up to the 22, but the 21 looks interesting as well. ...

Re: boat hauling FL to MA

Another option is to fly down and rent a Chevy Trailblazer from National/Alamo rental cars. They all come stock with a 2" receiver and a wiring hook up. I do this all the time in CA to tow around...

Re: Insurance

I used Hagerty Classic Boat Policy, after facing similar problems. You get a yard survey and have an agreed upon value, easy as that. A $20K policy on my 1972 20SF is about $470/year.

Re: Power for 20 Master Angler

I have a 20 SF with an older 130 Yamaha 2S and this is plenty of power for the hull. I had an old Merc 150 on my last hull, and it went about 44 mph; the new boat does just over 40 mph (38 knots). ...

Re: Tabs on 20SF w/ 200 HPDI - Size & lenco vs ben

I have used both brands, currently using Lenco's which were a lot easier to install, but I have only 1 season on them. The M120's on my last boat worked very well.

I would recommend mounting the...

Re: Air compressor question....

For compressors, the DA sander is the air hog and is what you have to account for when buying a compressor. I think that 5HP is a bit small and will not keep up with constant sander use, but 7.5 HP...

Re: Transom repair

I like to grind first, I think you get a smoother surface when you go to glass it back up. As to the putty and grinding again, I always try and go for it in one step. In this case put in your...
