Thanks for the advice / guidance guys.

Deck hatches are out. Yeah, the tank is about 27-7/8" wide.

Even if I cut part of the flanges off both sides, I'm still gonna have a heck of a time...

Jack in Weymouth: I need to replace the tank in my 1985 Scepter. How did you get yours out ? On mine, the deck flanges that the removable deck plates sit on and screws into, overlap over the top...

I agree with the others, if the motor you have is in decent shape, run it until it blows or starts to really annoy you with problems.

If you do end up deciding you "need" a new motor (or motors),...

Are you saying the 3,300 lb dry weight was obtained by actually weighing the boat ? If so, with the engines, fuel, and gear I would want to carry for week long trip to the keys, I would...

Trailer for 23 Scepter

Guys,

I'm looking for a new trailer for my 1985 23' Scepter. The boat is CSY built with a 144 gallon fuel tank and twin 115 Suzuki 4 strokes.

Does any one have a true weight for a similar boat...
