Re: Gas tank installation

I read some where to use Fiber reinforced plastic. I can't imagine it maks that big of a difference. What about plexi or something cheap? A 5 foot sheep of starboard is pricey.

Re: Fuel tank for a 20

I finally last night pulled my tank out and this morning on the way to work measured it. It is 60 x 24 x 9 but the fittings make it about 10 1/4 high. However much to my surprise it is a rectangle....

Re: What should my top speed be?

Alright here's the latest. I took the boat out with a 15x15 and was surprised to see I was just making 31mph. Came out of the hole quick but I guess the 17 is the best option. I still find it...

Re: What should my top speed be?

Bilge mount transducer that is not a thru-hull?

Does anyone have experience mounting a transducer for a
fish finder in the bilge but not as a thru hull?

As far as I can see you just epoxy it in and cross you fingers.

Re: Sealant for the gas tank hatch?

Or until you pass out from Silicone ingestion.
