Re: How Many people
When I run that equation with my boat's dimensions (18'x7.5') I get a result (9) that is 50% higher than what my CG plaque says (6).

Re: New SeaCraft 20
Loren you might want to check in with Outdoor World over near Baltimore. They are a SeaCraft dealer (duh...they own the brand) and I have seen SC20's go for around $27-28k there, all with Mercs (125...

I'm surprised that the HPDIs are not on your list. Hanging pair on the back is roughly equiv. in weight to four strokes but you'll get more power, fuel economy that is within the range, and...

Interesting...I've never seen gelcoat come off the fiberglass like that. Looks like water got under there an froze, lifting it off.
Other than that looks to be in reasonably decent shape, all...

Mark, check your email.
They are light scratches...you can only see them in the right light and they look like they are the result of regular handling in inventory. They would not be noticeable at...

FS: Accon 8" pull-up cleat
I have an extra so I put it up on eBay. These things are the best, and the 8" size takes the 1" hawsers at most fuel docks.

Endeavor I was interested in your boat last year and you pulled the rug out from under me after I flew up to the north fork to look at it.*
You should give me first shot at it! I'll give you a...

Barnegat has a rep for being the most treacherous inlet on the Atlantic under the wrong conditions--a strong onshore wind and outgoing tide and you have standing waves that will make your hair curl....

SeaCraft patent still enforced?
I'm curious as to whether SeaCraft is enforcing their patent on the variable deadrise design. I don't know of any other major manufacturers who have adopted it, and it seems like it is proven. Does...

Re: Potter vs. non-Potter hulls
I have a friend in Cape Cod whose father has owned '70s era 23 for a long time. Last year his buddy bought a new 23 and he has spend a fair amount of time on it. He says that in rougher water you can...

Re: Seacraft, Parker or Jones Bros?
To directly answer your question, the SeaCraft is going to give you a softer ride and be faster, and handle offshore waters better, and have slightly better storage. The Parker is going to give you...

Re: REPOWER-I/O OR O/B
Personally, I think the inboard 23' is one of the best looking boats ever made. If it is looks you're after, go with the inboard. Super classy, and a very, very clean looking boat.

The nice thing about the pull-ups is that they are dead flat...same level as the deck, while the "slim line" are not. If you are going to go flush you might as well go all the way. ...
