It's been awhile but here's pretty much the end of the story. Still some stuff to do, but after two years, that's it until winter.

For those interested I ended up with a 4-blade 17x19 lightly...

The shaft is going up to at least 1 3/8". I'm going with 1 1/2" if it will work. My strut is fabfricated stainless steel so I'm having a machine shop remove the existing barrel and weld on...

I just did the same thing in my 23 IB. The,re buried. I have saddle tanks so the hatch was so big it really screwed everything up and I didn't want the joints.

The tanks are coated and installed...

Thats what was just installed on my boat. I just posted new pictures on my thread before I saw your post. It fits the boat perfectly and looks real nice in black and, it's reasonable.

Done at Young's Fiberglass except for boot stripe after she's splashed and painting console (if I'm ever done with it), great guys and a great job.

Jim, I like the black fiberglass. Which did you use? Did you lay it in the mold to start or apply it on the surface afterward with epoxy?

Tran is a ZF63 1.5/1. 240 Yanmar is just over $20K w/ gear and instrument panel. Which is really cool by the way, all one unit, just plug it in. It's going to look nice in the console with the GPS...

A foot will make a huge difference. I think the outboards have the console positioned right at the floor hatch which is what I'm shooting for.

The estimated numbers are 30 mph @ 2,850 cruise...
