I have two vacs already and hooked it up to the one I already have. I have a porter cable vac that is real nice and the sander fits directly into it. I have been using it on my rigid vac lately...

thanks for the help. I think I need to go with a sander that is designed for a vac hose because I have a feeling tht is what killed the last two of my bosch sanders. I wish I had the festool rotex...
