Nice boat Highway!

Heynow, I can't even imagine the 23 inboard cruising at 30 knots. Mine cruises around 20 knots with a high HP chevy 350.

Hey Josh, I really like the top much more than canvas and there isn't a noise issue. The top is pretty heavy, but more becuase it's just a big top and extra tall. I'm 6'6" and sick of hitting my...

Thanks for the comments! I really love the boat and running an old school straight inboard SeaCraaft is just fun. As everyone here knows they are a great sea boat, but I love handling her at the dock...

1985's are not tracker hulls. My 23 inboard is a 1985 and still a good year. I know they made a handful of inboards that year. I believe tracker took over in 1987.

I am tossing they idea of...

I thought they only put the 3208's in the 25 Blackfiin. Good to know they went in the 24 as well. I almost bought a 25 years ago, but there was about 5 gallons of oil in the bilge. I had my dad...

Hi Don,

I always thought the 6bt was too heavy for a 23, but I guess. not. How many knots do you cruise at say 2400RPM?

I have 370B's in my Blackfin, so if I could fit one in my SeaCraft...

A few from the Vineyard

Took my wife and little girls for thier last trip of the year over to the Island. Of course, I had to take a few pics of the boat.

Re: 23' inboard cruise speeds?

So I must have the slowest inboard ever made. In real world conditions with full tanks, ice, beer, fishing rods etc...I cruise in the 19-22 knot range at 3200-3400 depending on tide. I am swinging...

Re: Inboard 23

350HP 350 Turning a 16x17 wheel. She's got the HP, but with that big top her speed is average to below average with other 23 inboards with 350's. She was re-powered in 06.

Re: Inboard diesel 1974 23' seacraft potter hull

If you deliver it up her to be sold, I'll make sure she doesn't get dusty for you. :)

If I didn't already have a 23 inboard I would have flown down to see that boat the day you posted here and on...

Re: 23' inboard Restoration

That boat is too far gone to re-do, way too big of a project. Now where can I pick up that motor again?
Kidding aside that is going to be a sweet set up when you're done!

They did the trick for my 23 inboard. You can get them at West Marine.

Re: repower 23 cc inboard

The Albin 26 came in straight inboard mostly. They made a few stern drives with Volve Diesel power, but I don't think they ever made one with an outboard option, or even a gas option for that matter....

Re: repower 23 cc inboard

That is true that top speed could be affected, but who cares. Let's face it, these boats are not even close to being fast especially in today's standards. The most important thing for an inboard...

Re: repower 23 cc inboard

Jeff,

Will the 5.9 Cummins fit in there? I have 2 370B's coming in any day from Cummins, but they are going in my Blackfin. Would be cool to know I could put one of these in the 23 as well with...

Re: 76 23' inboard Soft decks

There is a 23 Diesel for sale with a tuna door in FL, but the boat was re-done here on the Cape. I think it's for sale on this site. I'm sure the current owner could point you to the guy he bought...

Re: repower 23 cc inboard

A 350 is the minimum size I would put in a 23 inboard. A 302 just won't be enough, I'm thinking a 15 knot cruise and not much over 20knots WOT.

Re: Winter full cover for 23' Seacraft

For Winter on the Vineyard I would just shrink wrap it. Those winter covers aren't made for our winters.

Re: Cummins 6BT

Hopefully I won't have to re-power the boat anytime soon, but if I do the Steyr is the direction I'm going to go.

Re: Cummins 6BT

I have 2 370B Cummins on order right now for a 32 Blackfin, I wouldn't even consider trying to shoe-horn one into my inboard Seacraft. That Steyr sounds very interesting though!
