My advice would be to put the water tank as far forward (under the floor) as possible. NEar the anchor locker if possible. That way it can be used as a "trim" tank and help out on weight distribution. I've never experienced a deep V boat with high HP that rode "Bow down"......

Semi-rigid plastic tanks work great. Remebmer to strap / mount it in securely 25 gallons x 8 lbs is a bit of weight to be flying around in some nasty chop. The bow area is different than the stern for motion....The fill can be anywhere that is about the same height as the vent. You need to be able to see the vent from the fill...
