You answered your own question in your last post .... No one can tell without seeing it .... the broker just wants to sell it …..Truthfully I would be more concerned with the "hull damage that was repaired" especially if it was major and under the water line.

Plus what is the definition of "sound" ....My transom is thought to be sound ....but it has a spot that I'm concerned about .... very little flex, no cracks, sounds solid as rock when “sounded” ….but put a drill bit to it ….. wet wood!!!!
Only thing I can say ….. and I know you dont want to hear it as I think you found this out on the last one is ….EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED don’t forget the boat is 22 years old
