Re: It's finished!
Thanks for the comments! The paint is Awlgrip, and I did it in my driveway. The transom was rotten from an improperly installed swim ladder, and I rebuilt it to 25". At the same time I closed in the worthless vent holes at the stern corners. Much filling and fairing and sanding, then 3 coats of the Awlgrip 545 primer sprayed inside and out. Sanded that with 360 grit, and then 3 coats of Awlgrip "Fighting Lady Yellow" rolled and tipped. Inside I used the "Oyster White" and the course anti-skid on the decks and hatches. I had never done it before, although I have sprayed cars when I was younger. The t-top is from a 23" Parker, and it had to be narrowed and have the mounting pads relocated to fit the original console. It is stainless and I used the Pro-Trim material as the fabric, very impressed with that stuff so far. I built the radio box out of that blue builders styrofoam and covered it with epoxy and cloth, and painted it with the Awlgrip. I cut the front storage seat off the console and replaced it with a cooler seat. Although you can't see it in the picture, I made a barstool type seat for the Captain, I think they are real cool! Completely re-wired, rebuilt 1985 200 Johnson, repainted, with the 2000 model decals. After all the work I had to break down and buy the Loadmaster trailer, which pulls like a dream. I started in February by taking a vacation to do the transom, and finished in mid June.
