Sadly most t-top makers seem unwilling to do anything that messes with the 5x7 default size. This is why I posted a question last week regarding recommended custom t-top makers for my next boat.
My current 18' has a t-top that is just wider than the 33" console and about 5' long. You can see photos of it on
www.theboatzone.com/gallery/ it is currently the only 18' on there. I find that having the top that narrow makes storing rods vertically next to the console very convenient.
I'm now refurbishing a 1971 20' and will likewise be looking to put a t-top on it that is much smaller than the standard size that most makers won't deviate from. I find the 5x7 size significantly too wide and a bit long as well for a small boat under 23'.
