THANKS FOR THE COMPLEMENTS. IT WAS A LOT OF WORK BUT IF YOU ARE INTO TO IT YOU WILL APPRECIATE IT WHEN COMPLETED.
AS TO YOUR QUESTIONS
1. THE BOOT STRIPE I MIGHT CONSIDER IT LATER. I DECIDED TO PAINT THE OUTSIDE HULL ONE MORE TIME TO GIVE IT 3 COATS. AFTER I DO THAT I WILL PUT ON THE SEACRAFT DECALS AND THEN TAKE A LOOK.
2. TRANSOM DOOR I DIDN’T HAVE ONE ON THE BOAT WHEN I GOT IT. WHAT I DID IS MAKE A SPLASH WELL TO TRAP WATER THAT COULD COME INTO THE STERN AND FLOW OUT THE BACK. WORKS WELL.
3. I USED STERLING PAIN IT IS A TWO PART MARINE PAINT THAT HAS VERY GOOD PROPERTIES FOR THE ROLL AND TIP OR BRUSH METHOD OF PAINTING. I DID THE WHOLE BOAT THAT WAY AND IT WORKS WELL.
4. I THINK THAT THE 225 IS THE PERFECT MOTOR FOR THE BOAT. IT POPS UP ON PLAIN AT AROUND 2800 TO 3000 RPM’S AND GIVES ME ALL THE SPEED I NEED WITH FUEL ECONOMY. IF YAMAHA MADE A 225 HIGH PRESSURE MOTOR WHEN IT WAS TIME FOR ME TO BUY I WOULD HAVE TAKEN IT BUT I DID NOT WANT THE 4 STROKE MOTOR NOR DID I WANT 2 MOTORS ON THE BACK I THINK THE 23 IS REALLY A ONE ENGINE BOAT. AT CRUISING SPEED I GET 9-10 GAL PER HR. OUT OF HER. THAT GIVES ME A RANGE OF ABOUT 200 TO 225 MILES.
