Be prepared to spend time, lots of time looking and you will learn and eventually find a great boat. Try marinas with dry storage and ask the management if there are any boats that are sitting unused.
With respect to that vintage you have two options : 1- no restoration - low cost but be prepared to spend money as a 30 yr old hull will require some work(the option I chose).
2- restored boat, if done properly (like Fellowship or Hammer or any of the other restorations on this site) high initial cost but you get a boat that is in many ways better than new (the option I wanted).
