Default Re: Bottom paint removal

Several years ago I tried a product called peel away. My old 20ft robalo had at least about 10 coats of old bottom paint. 2 buckets cost me about $55.00 each. You apply the paste, press on a "blanket" (included) and then peel and scrape the paste off the next morning. This stuff is non harmfull to skin, lungs or enviorment as far as I know. It peeled away 80% of the paint the first time. I did a 2nd spot application and it worked beautifully removing about 95% of paint. If you are just going to repaint over it, this is a good cheep product, If you want the bottom smooth and spot free, perhaps blasting it is better.
