The teak that i am mostly interested in is the thin strip that runs around the interior of the boat, just below and inside of the non-skid surface of the cap or gunnals (gunwhale ?) or whatever that part of the boat is called (time to get out Chapman's). The teak strip is only about 1/2 or 3/4 of an inch wide and very thin. It runs from the stern to the bow. It is the only teak i have in my boat (1986 18'cc) other than the rod racks and console. I kind of like that teaky look but it does take some upkeep...Toadfish
