I've seen several 86 to 89 SeaCrafts and can agree with the overwhelming consensus here that "they are all good boats".

My 89 with 900 hours was fished by a pro for 800 of those and the boat shows no defects except minor stress cracking. Having torn it down and removed the fuel tank, this is a serious hull outside and in. I'll be replacing some wood with starboard, but don't feel it's unexpected considering it sat out side for 10 years. The hull is dry and rock solid and rides like a dream.

I conceed the fit and finish issues on later models and will replace every single piece of hardware, but trust me they're all good boats.
