Have a good trip. I would be as anal as posible about the transom and floor panels. Re-doing them is scores of hours worth of work. That's OK if you buy it really cheap. I would also tend to pay more if everything is original and solid.
The next thing is the motor. If it has an older motor, how many hours does it have left dependably? The cost to repower new is at least $14,000. Only around 1/2 of that is added to the boats value.
A decent trailer is worth $1,000 to $2,000.
