Fellow-Ship I think you hit the nail on the head...I too would like to see Yamaha get HPDI into the 225 and 250 (Leonard any signs of this in the future or are all the "Eggs" going in the 4 stroke basket)...I think that is where I would ultimately end up....but seeing what you paid for your motor.....well I'm jealous and I hope I step into a deal like that when it gets to be that time!!!...As for the cost of the four stroke I got a ballparked of 18,000 for a Honda 225 I think that double what you paid..And I think that SeaCraft is prerigging for Hondas as well as Mercury now...Leonard could help us out here...
Dan..... That would be my issue with getting a 4 stroke this early in the game...I really dont think anyone knows how well this engine is going to perform/last as compared to the 2 stroke.... and yes I get the same feeling with the motors efficiency.....Time will tell!!
