If your worried about breaking down with a single engine then I would install a kicker engine on it. I run a V-6 Evinrude on my 20 ft seacraft. I made my transome 25" and its the best thing I did. I would not want to see twin V-4s on this boat. Even with a full transome and bracket. From what I have seen I would not run a single 90 on this rig. A 115 would do fine. A 150 would be even better. I would make the transome 25 inch, run a 115 or 150 Di, Opti or HPDI engine and install a 9.9 or 15 4 stroke on a kicker bracket, just incase something happens to the main engine. This is just my 2 cents.
