I was wondering the same ....why would Awlgrip not promote there own Fairing Compound and using that glazing putty?? Good info on the rollers and the primer I will keep that in mind. Did you have to sand alot only using the roller??(did the brush streak it too much)
Like I said before that video made it seem like painting your house....The guys at US Paints however warned me that it will take time and patience and the more its rushed or forced will only end up with a crummy paint job. They said, and as I'm doing, to concentrate on the prep work and getting rid of all the flaws....otherwise as I'm sure you know the paint just magnifies them.

They also warned me NOT to use Microlight filler by WEST SYSTEMS. Apparently the solvents in the paint soften up this material( said if it was used you should put a coat of epoxy over it to seal it). Basically said the best stuff to use with the WEST SYSTEM (and I'm sure the other systems too) are the high density fillers, Cabosil etc...
Thanks for the info on that battery pad....I think mine is in good shape....at least it seem pretty solid. I'm throwing the batteries under the console so I'm not to worried about that area.

Thanks Again
