Re: Raw water pickup location ?
Billybob
Mine is also in the live well .... But I did not think it was an install that SeaCraft did because of how it was installed. I dont know how your boat is set up but here's my set up. The port side of the livewell follows the bottom contour of the hull. Under the live well is about 1" of space between the inside of the hull and the underside of the livewell. Someone filled this area with a resin mixture to make it solid. By doing this it also blcked the hole in the stringer that allows water on the port side of the stringer to flow/drain to the other side so that half of the boat is always wet....The thru hull fitting went through this resin fill...Also my thru hull has two holes one as a pickup the other as a drain (with the boats forward motion).
I plan on filling those holes and placing a thru hull in the area that Steve talks about....under that hatch that has the two 8" access plates.
Anyone know of a good pump that will last more than a season....that has some decent pressure??
