About the only part you can use is the oil filter, and some gaskets. Everything else is different. The Mercathode system is wired to your batterys so you do not need to be pluged in. It does not draw that much power. The bravo II is a good drive you will have no problems with. I do not believe there is no Fords in the sterndrive lines. I believe there is only one still being offered in the inboard line put out by PCM.
