Re: Paint Type?
HA FISHER
I did and then re did mine with Sterling paint this is one of those two part marine paints that have very good properties for using a roller or a paint brush. You will need to mix both the fine and the coarse grit and re mix it every time you put the roller in the paint. I used more the doubled the recommendation of grit and just used a foam roller came out great and it is like walking of 80 grit sand paper “you will not slip”. The first time I did it I only used the fine grit and that wasn’t gritty enough I slipped a few times and fell on my ass after I came home and started washing the boat with soapy water. Now for painting the hull I also used Sterling two part paint for that I used the roll and tip method and it came out very good. There are a number of old threads on this sight talking about painting and if you go back and read them, they will tell you tons of info. If you are thinking of spraying the paint you must be very careful this type of paint can kill you if you don’t follow the health warnings.
