The bottom needs another layer of glass added to the existing laminations for additonal strength. The boat is a 72 an the polyester resin is showing some cracking, it needs to have one or two layers of glass added for strength using epoxy resin.
The main deck has NOT been reinstalled.
The bracket has been glassed.
The bracket does add floation. This is one of the best features of the process. There is enough flotation to support the engine and a livewell at the old transom location. The boat floats level and pops up quickly. Also the stringers extend all of the way back to the engine mount making the boat respond instantly to the throttle.
