EBEACH I know how you feel trying to find one in New England. I called about the Sceptre at Cape Marine and it has no engine or drive(i/o) in it(was hoping all it needed was an outboard), to much of a project for me. Thought about the I/O in Newbury that needs an engine until I called about new roller trailer prices($2600 to 2850 for a good heavy one) and that went out the window due to the cost of a new engine(Doug Russell around $3000 complete) and trailer at the same time before spending any monoey on the hull. I did not look at the boat you have at number three. I looked at the age of the engine and the asking price and didn't even bother, thats an old engine even if it has been taken care of well. Have you looked at this one?
http://adcache.boattraderonline.com/6/5/8/34335858.htm Its at the upper end of my price range so I'll pass the info on to you. I haven't seen it. It seems all I can find out here now is project boats and high end boats already re done, not much in the middle. I've been watching for two years and I finally have the money to act on one quickly when I find the right boat, and now that I'm all set to go I can't find anything close. I've got to be patient if that doesn't work I'll go to Florida for a week in Jan. with the intent of trailering one back. I would think that number two(74' with Merc. 115) would be around $7000 ? I'll keep an eye out and let you know of any more. Jon G
