Hooper I am going to go with the transom mount so I can get the speed/water temp out of it too. If I can figure it out the GPS will be tied into the VHF and the Furuno 6100 when I'm done. I like the fact the Furuno has a cruise mode that will chart the bottom at cruise speed. It looks like a great unit for the money. At cruise speed the older unit I removed would not keep accurate depth leaving me guessing. Your right about some of the other LCD's, I really don't want to see a "fish symbol" [img]images/icons/frown.gif[/img] on the screen, I'd rather see what the echo really looks like.
