I have been going out of Miami just about every Saturday for the last year, ever since I got my boat finished. I put out at Crandon go to Government to pick up live bait and then usually go south fishing from Government to around 1 or 2 miles south of Fowey light. We have been pretty productive for the most part this year. This last month we have caught about 4 or 5 Sails a few Mutton a few A.J. lots of Kings one about 45 Lbs and a few Groupers. But it seems that the Guys fishing further south around Pacific to off Ocean Reef have been a lot more productive then me. This last week we only got one King and a lot of cut offs on the reef close to Fowey. I have been thinking about putting out at Homestead and fishing in front of Cesar’s to the Whistler in front of Ocean Reef. That would be a extra 20 Minuets one way on the trailoring plus trying to find live bait down there isn’t as easy. We will be headed down to the middle Keys come June the first for a week. I Guess I will make my decision after that about where to put out. Congratulations of that yellowfin I sure wish I would have found him myself.
