Default Re: BORED Straight Flush !

What do Ya raise these with ?????? is that 16 to 40 oz's or 1.6 - 4.0 oz ?

You were seeing right Captain Brad, 16 to 40 OZ's. Now tell me who pours a 1.6 oz lead

Bigger rockfish tend to stay under and around the outer fringes of the rest of the school, the water we fish can go from 10 ft right on the beach to 100 ft very quickly with a 5 knot current so you need heavy to keep it on the bottom. This is of course to get the main bait down as well. It is heavy but I normally use 15/30 lb stand up rods and TLD 20's. A lot of folks like the penn gti's but I think shimano has it all over them. Anyways when you catch em 2 at a time and each fish is 20 lbs or better you need something with a little ummmph.LOL, Oh BTW the new state record bluefin has been broken twice this week. Dr. Jim (of the fishing show fame) had on earlier in the week around 395 or so. Someone else had on yesterday around 400. (5 and a half hours in the chair) not me, dont want any parts of them. Have been hearing reports that commercial boys from wherever having fish over 400 lbs dressed out.Anyways , the other rockfish lure that has really taken off around here lately are the storm wildeyes, and the 'Tomic plugs- Scott- you guys pulling them up north???
