Because there is a battery in each of the "cubbies" on my father's 23, he mounted the filter on the port side of the splash well up high. It used to be mounted inside the port cubby along with the battery! [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] The primer bulb lays in the splashwell. After 2 or 3 seasons, no rust issues with the filter even though it's exposed to the elements.
