Default Re: Hull to Liner/Cap joint

JW Tex
I re-glassed a strip around the inner side of the gunnel (hull) ,Then when i put the topcap back on I had a new Bite.I used # 10 Flat head SS screws counter sunk12-14"sPre-drill pilot hole,Then I thru bolted # 10's between them Flat washers & Nylon lock nuts .This also gave Me a place to tie wrap the wiring from the Bow.I would not 5200 inside the seam.If you ever have to take it apart ,Jerry Clower has some M.ChainSaws in a Muesem. I put a bead at every screw then a bead all around the out side(under)(fast cure, less drip).I then put the rub rail on ,then another bead of silicone to smooth out the rail to hub.Sho is quieter than before, dryer too.
