My transom original was set up at 30” high. The previous owner had twin 25” motors on the transom. When I re did my transom I kept it at 30” but only put one 30” 225 in the center on the transom (no bracket). If you use a bracket, I would use one that is set up for twins, in that way there will be enough flotation for one heaver motor in the center. Is your transom 25” or 30” high from the center line of the transom??? If it is 30” you are there, but if it is 25” up from the center line you have problems to fix or you need a 25” shaft motor. As for finding the center of the transom you measuring a X from the bottom of your hull steps to the opposite side of the top of the transom do both sides same length will cause a X and X marks the spot of your center of the transom then measure correctly from the top to drill your holes.
