I removed the deck fill plate, ran a rope through the hose,threaded the new lenght of hose on the rope at the gunnel side and pulled the whole lot through to the tank fitting in one fell swoop. This was about 8 years ago but from what I can remeber it worked pretty good. The boat is a 73' 20cc. The new hose is still in there.
