If the transom is in good shape then it should be just fine. I had a 97 200 Yamaha on my 20, the transom was a little soft from water intrusion, however it held up just fine. Little movement, but didn't break. [img]/images/graemlins/shocked.gif[/img] I ended up selling the boat before I had to replace the transom.
