Thanks guys - What an idiot I am - the boat had sat for some time and I guess I assumed the fuel in the line would magically get itself to the priming bulb.

After alot of Mount Gay and coke last night it dawned on me to get a small hand pump, bring the fuel up to the primer bulb which would then allow free flow of fuel.

I took three or four gallons out to be disposed and used some fuel treatment in the remaining fuel in the tank - started first time and fuel is freely flowing.

I am a moron.
